A bespoke mosaic welcome for a new Deli in the heart of Newlyn, Cornwall.
BESPOKE MOSAIC PAVEMENT
THE BRIEF
The owners of a new Deil in Newlyn, Cornwall,
wanted a mosaic pavement to welcome customers and celebrate the food they love.
Inspired by their passion for mosaic - particularly
the ancient Roman 'unswept floor' - the design
needed to feature the word 'DELI' along with
ingredients and products sold in the shop.
With a touch of humor - there are two mice eating cheese in the design see if you can spot them.
The mosaic brings warmth, character and a sense of place to their doorstep.

Materials and craftsmanship
Created using winkelmans unglazed ceramic tiles suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
A palette of natural tones with accents of gold leaf adds warmth and detail, ensuring durability for years to come.
